Read this before you buy
An AirTag is not a GPS tracker. It has no GPS chip and no SIM card. It works by silently pinging nearby iPhones, and reports a location only when someone with an iPhone passes within about ten metres of it.
In a suburb that's often enough. In a paddock at 2am, it is not. Most sellers won't tell you that. We'd rather you knew now than after.

If you need real-time location in open country, you need a 4G tracker with a data plan. That's a different product at a different price, and this isn't a substitute for it.
Why this mount
Most collar holders are hard plastic with a snap closure. The snap fatigues, and eventually you lose a $60 AirTag without noticing.
This is a single piece of moulded silicone. It stretches over the tag and grips the strap through slots on both sides. There's no hinge, no clip, no mechanism — nothing that can fail.

Questions
Does it come with an AirTag?
No. You'll need your own, plus an iPhone or iPad to set it up.
Will it work with an Android phone?
No. Find My is Apple-only. There's no workaround.
Can my dog swim with it?
Yes. The silicone is water resistant and AirTags are rated IP67.
Will it fall off?
The strap threads through the body of the mount, so it can't slide off unless the collar itself comes undone. That's the failure mode this design exists to prevent.
Can I still hear the AirTag chime?
Yes, but quieter — the silicone covers the speaker. If you rely on the sound to find things, that's worth knowing.
